Not a chatbot wrapper

How this differs from talking to a regular AI

An ordinary chatbot answers in generalities, doesn’t remember past conversations, and doesn’t notice when someone is really struggling. Behind every Dicamus answer are a library, a method, and safeguards that we built by hand:

21,000+pages of text from books by leading psychologists — the specialist draws on them in every reply
42,688excerpts — the right specialist finds them in seconds, by meaning rather than by keywords
30universities: research by their scholars underlies the methods. Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, and others
258proven techniques from books, from breathing during a panic attack to a plan for paying off debt. Each is written out step by step: when to use it and how
64ready-made plans for conversations, a separate one for each topic, from burnout to losing a loved one. The specialist knows what to ask and where to lead
508difficult and crisis test conversations, on which we check every change before releasing it
AES-256military-grade encryption — the kind used to protect top-secret information. The key is stored separately from the database
Regular AI chatDicamus
Memory Starts from scratch every time Remembers your history and picks up where you left off
Approach Generic advice A step-by-step plan from books, tailored to your situation
Result The conversation just ends One specific step — and next time, a question about how it went
Safety May not notice that you’re struggling Notices risk and points you to real-life help
How it works inside — for those who are curious

What happens to your message

  1. 1Safety check

A separate model assesses whether you’re okay — even before replying.

  2. 2Memory of you

Important facts, agreements, and the history of your sessions are drawn from the “map” of your conversations.

  3. 3Method

It determines which script, and which step of it, fits you right now.

  4. 4Library

Passages from psychology books are selected — searching by meaning, not by words.

  5. 5Reply

The specialist thinks through the next move and replies — gently, to the point, with a first step at the end.

Under the hood: a memory graph on Neo4j, knowledge base search (RAG), a separate risk classifier, and an AI judge that checks quality before release.

Data protection

Your conversation is yours alone

You don’t share your most personal things just anywhere — that’s why protection comes first for us.

AES-256 encryption

Military-grade encryption. The key is stored separately from the database and backups — even a stolen database is unreadable.

We don’t know who you are

We don’t store your phone number, email, or account — only an irreversible hash. You can use any name you like.

GDPR compliant

Minimal data, and only with your consent. You can delete everything with one button, and if you’re inactive, your data is deleted automatically after 30 days.

We don’t sell your data or show ads. To reply, the server decrypts the relevant part of the conversation and passes it to the AI model without your name or contact details. Details are in the privacy policy.

Help comes first. Everything else can wait.

Don’t wait until it gets really hard

Just write a few words about what’s going on. The specialist will listen, help you sort it out, and suggest a first step — free, with no sign-up, any time.

How it works

Like a session with a psychologist — only when it suits you

  1. 1

    Session

You can start right away, with no sign-up. About an hour and a half of calm conversation with a specialist: they’ll listen, ask the right questions, and help you sort things out. Text or voice, whichever you prefer.

  2. 2

    First step

At the end — one small, doable step. Not “change your life,” but something you can actually do this week.

  3. 3

    Between sessions — Nadia

If it hits you right now, Nadia is always there: she’ll listen and, if you agree, pass the main points on to the specialist so you don’t have to start from scratch in your session.

  4. 4

    Remembers your story

Next time, your specialist will ask how the step went and pick up where you left off.

Try it right now

Half a minute to breathe out

A slow exhale longer than the inhale helps the body calm down. Three rounds — then notice what’s changed.

Questions

Is this a psychologist?

No. It’s an AI for self-help: it helps you make sense of a situation and try proven techniques. It doesn’t diagnose or recommend medication. If what you describe suggests seeing a doctor, it will tell you plainly and point you to the right kind of doctor.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Tap “Start a conversation” and write to the specialist right away. We’ll ask you to sign in with Telegram, Google, or email after their first reply — so your conversation is saved. We don’t store your phone number, email, or account, only an irreversible hash.

How are my conversations protected?

Conversations, specialists’ notes, your notebook, and session summaries are stored in the database encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is not in the database or in backups, so a stolen database or backup is unreadable. There’s no name, phone number, or email in the database. The connection is HTTPS only.

Who can see my conversations?

To reply, the relevant part of the conversation is passed to the AI model without your name or contact details. During the beta, the team may read conversations in anonymized form to improve the service — you give your consent to this when you get started. Your data is not sold or used for advertising.

Is this GDPR compliant?

Yes. We collect minimal data and only with your consent, keep it for a limited time, and encrypt it. Access to your data, correction, deletion, and withdrawal of consent are available on request; you can also delete everything yourself with one button in settings. Details are in the privacy policy.

What are the methods based on?

On books by psychologists, psychiatrists, and researchers — the authors include professors from Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, and other universities. The full list of books is in the library. The authors are not affiliated with Dicamus.

Which universities are the authors of the methods from?

30 in total: Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, Cambridge, Princeton, Columbia University, Berkeley, University of Washington, New York University, University of British Columbia, UCLA, University of Arizona, Boston College, Brown, University of Vienna, Duke, Indiana University (Kinsey Institute), Cornell, London Business School, University of Massachusetts Medical School, University of Minnesota, University of Ottawa, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Northeastern University, University of Texas at Austin, Toronto Metropolitan University, University of Derby, University of Toronto, University of Southern California. The university listed is the author’s place of work; the authors and universities are not affiliated with Dicamus and do not take part in the project — we draw on their published books and research.

Why these areas?

The Harvard Human Flourishing Program identifies the areas that make up a fulfilling life: relationships, health, meaning, emotions, character, and finances. We built our team of seven specialists around them.

How much does it cost?

The first session is free, plus one more for each friend you invite. You can send Nadia 10 messages a day for free. Beyond that, there are plans from a day to a month: each includes sessions with specialists and a subscription for that period. Payment is one-time, with no auto-renewal: on the website by card (Visa, Mastercard) or with Telegram Stars; prices are in the app.

What is a session?

About an hour and a half of conversation with a specialist. After that, it’s best to take a break for a couple of days: after a deep conversation, you need time for everything to settle. If things get overwhelming sooner, write to Nadia.

Can I talk by voice?

Yes: tap the microphone and speak. The text will appear in the field, and you can edit it before sending.

What if my topic is better suited to a different specialist?

The specialist will tell you which colleague can help better and, if you agree, briefly pass along what you talked about — so you won’t have to explain it all again. Questions and suggestions — to us on Telegram.

Let’s say it out loud

Your first session is free, with no sign-up.
