2–4 out of 10Claude Sonnet 5.5 in the same conversations; the psychologist didn’t know which was which

“Brilliant clinical logic… forbids quitting abruptly on one’s own and refers to a doctor. Doesn’t play addiction specialist, doesn’t moralize.”

Dicamus · rated 10 out of 10

“A gross breach of the limits of competence. The machine gives a medical diagnosis.”

Claude · rated 2 out of 10

“A machine shouldn’t imitate human presence.”

Coming soon to the team

Not a chatbot wrapper

How this differs from talking to a regular AI

An ordinary chatbot answers in generalities, doesn’t remember past conversations, and doesn’t notice when someone is really struggling. Behind every Dicamus answer are a library, a method, and safeguards that we built by hand:

21,000+pages from books by leading psychologists behind every answer
42,688excerpts — in a vector database: search by meaning, not by keywords
6AI agents, each with its own job: the specialist, the risk check, the attentive reader, books, memory and the judge
544difficult and crisis test conversations: an AI judge checks quality before every change

Typical AI — by similarity

“Third month with no energy, I don’t want anything”

“Sounds like burnout. Here are 5 tips…”

Grabs the first similar topic. Wrong guess — “sorry, I misunderstood.”

Dicamus — by elimination, like a doctor

“Third month with no energy, I don’t want anything”

Burnout from work

Low mood across life

Poor sleep or a physical cause

“Does your energy come back on weekends — or is it just as grey?”

Keeps 2–4 explanations, narrows them down with questions and gives advice only once the picture is clear.

How the elimination method works →

Regular AI chatDicamus
Memory Starts from scratch every time Remembers your history and picks up where you left off
Approach Generic advice A step-by-step plan from books, tailored to your situation
Homework The conversation just ends Homework in the notebook after the session — and next time a question about how it went
Progress No way to see if anything is changing Tests over time, “before → now” and a PDF report in My path
Safety May not notice that you’re struggling Notices risk, asks directly and refers you to a live specialist
How it works inside — for those who are curious

What happens to your message

  1. 1Safety check

A separate model assesses whether you’re okay — even before replying.

  2. 2Attentive reader

Another model analyzes your message: what was said, what was corrected, where something contradicts, what’s unclear.

  3. 3Memory of you

Important facts, agreements, and the history of your sessions are drawn from the “map” of your conversations.

  4. 4Method

It determines which script, and which step of it, fits you right now.

  5. 5Library

Semantic search finds 20 passages from the books, and a separate model keeps the ones that truly answer your question.

  6. 6Reply

The specialist reasons at the highest level, tests hypotheses by ruling them out, and replies — with care, to the point, with a first step at the end.

  7. 7Saving to memory

After the reply, a separate model writes new facts into the memory graph — so the next session picks up where you left off.

All the details, numbers and checks — How Dicamus works →

Under the hood — 6 AI agents. The specialists, the risk check, the attentive reader, memory and book passage selection run on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (552 billion parameters, about 760 billion with its Engram memory module, up to 1 million tokens of context) on servers in the USA and Europe, each with its own instructions; the specialist reasons at the highest level before every reply. Voice uses Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and the independent check is Claude by Anthropic: a model from a different developer. A memory graph and search by meaning with re-ranking.

Free tests

Check yourself in 2–3 minutes

The official GAD-7 and PHQ-9 questionnaires — used by doctors worldwide to check anxiety and depression — and a scientific burnout questionnaire. No sign-up, answers aren’t stored; you get your result right away, with an explanation and a next step. Want to see how things change? Save your score to My path and retake every 2 weeks.

A test result is not a diagnosis: it shows whether your state deserves attention. Only a clinician can diagnose.

Data protection

Your conversation is yours alone

You don’t share your most personal things just anywhere — that’s why protection comes first for us.

AES-256 encryption

Military-grade encryption. The key is stored separately from the database and backups — even a stolen database is unreadable.

We don’t know who you are

We don’t store your phone number, email, or account — only an irreversible hash. You can use any name you like.

Built on GDPR principles

Minimal data, and only with your consent. You can delete everything with one button, and if you’re inactive, your data is deleted automatically after 30 days.

We don’t sell your data or show ads. To reply, the server decrypts the relevant part of the conversation and passes it to the AI model without your name or contact details. Details are in the privacy policy.

How it works

Like a session with a psychologist — only when it suits you

  1. 1

    Session

No sign-up. 60–80 minutes of conversation: the specialist listens, asks precise questions and helps you sort things out. By text or voice.

  2. 2

    First step

At the end — one doable step for this week, not “change your life.”

  3. 3

    Between sessions — a pause

A couple of days to try the step in real life. If things get really bad, you can write outside a session too.

  4. 4

    Remembers your story

Next time the specialist asks how the step went and picks up where you left off.

Questions

Is this a psychologist?

No. It’s an AI for self-help: it helps you make sense of a situation and try proven techniques. It doesn’t diagnose or recommend medication. If what you describe suggests seeing a doctor, it will tell you plainly and point you to the right kind of doctor.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Tap “Start a conversation” and write to the specialist right away. We’ll ask you to sign in with Telegram or Google after their first reply — so your conversation is saved. We don’t store your phone number, email, or account, only an irreversible hash.

How are my conversations protected?

Conversations, specialists’ notes, your notebook, and session summaries are stored in the database encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is not in the database or in backups, so a stolen database or backup is unreadable. There’s no name, phone number, or email in the database. The connection is HTTPS only.

Who can see my conversations?

To reply, the relevant part of the conversation is sent to an AI model without your name or contacts. The team (which includes a supervisor, a clinical psychologist) can read conversations in anonymized form to improve the service only if you’ve allowed it: the checkbox is optional, and you can turn it off in settings. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Who checks the answers?

A supervisor — a clinical psychologist with an academic degree. Once a month the supervisor reviews anonymized conversations of people who allowed review and points out where a specialist made a mistake or rushed; we change the specialists’ instructions based on these notes and openly publish what was found and fixed. The supervisor has signed a non-disclosure agreement with us.

Quality log: all the scores, our mistakes and what we fixed →

Is this GDPR compliant?

We’re not based in the EU and haven’t had an external audit, but we handle data according to GDPR principles: we collect the minimum, only with your consent, keep it for a limited time and encrypt it. Access, correction, deletion and withdrawal of consent are available on request, and you can delete everything yourself with one button in settings. Details are in the privacy policy.

What are the methods based on?

On books by psychologists, psychiatrists, and researchers — the authors include professors from Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, and other universities. The full list of books is in the library. The authors are not affiliated with Dicamus.

Which universities are the authors of the methods from?

30 in total: Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Yale, Cambridge, Princeton, Columbia University, Berkeley, University of Washington, New York University, University of British Columbia, UCLA, University of Arizona, Boston College, Brown, University of Vienna, Duke, Indiana University (Kinsey Institute), Cornell, London Business School, University of Massachusetts Medical School, University of Minnesota, University of Ottawa, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Northeastern University, University of Texas at Austin, Toronto Metropolitan University, University of Derby, University of Toronto, University of Southern California. The university listed is the author’s place of work; the authors and universities are not affiliated with Dicamus and do not take part in the project — we draw on their published books and research.

Why these areas?

The Harvard Human Flourishing Program identifies the areas that make up a fulfilling life: relationships, health, meaning, emotions, character, and finances. We built our team of seven specialists around them.

How much does it cost?

The first session is free, plus one more for each friend you invite. After that — a subscription: one day (one session), PRO — a session every 4 days, ULTIMA — every other day; for a week or a month. One-time payment, no auto-renewal: Telegram Stars, a card (Mir, Visa, Mastercard) or SBP; prices are in the app and on the page How Dicamus works.

What is a session?

60–80 minutes of conversation with a specialist. After that, it’s best to take a break for a couple of days: after a deep conversation, you need time for everything to settle. If things get really bad sooner, you can write outside a session too.

Is there homework and progress tracking?

Yes. At the end of a session the specialist suggests homework — it goes into your notebook, and next time the specialist asks how it went. My path shows what has changed: your anxiety, depression and burnout test results over time, “before → now” in your own words, goals and steps. You can download it all as one PDF report and show it to your therapist or doctor.

Which AI models does Dicamus use?

Six AI agents work on your conversation: the specialist, the risk check, the attentive reader, book search, memory and the AI judge. The main model is DeepSeek V4.1 Flash (552 billion parameters) at its highest reasoning level, on servers in the USA and Europe; each agent has its own instructions. Voice uses Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, and the independent quality check is Claude by Anthropic. More details on the page How Dicamus works.

Can I talk by voice?

Yes: tap the microphone and speak. The text will appear in the field, and you can edit it before sending.

What if my topic is better suited to a different specialist?

The specialist will tell you which colleague can help better and, if you agree, briefly pass along what you talked about — so you won’t have to explain it all again. Questions and suggestions — to us on Telegram.
